KAMTough is a superior alternative to Delrin, UHMW and Teflon Tape
KAMTough is used where impact resistance is required, under edge loading, in heavy abrasion applications, and where gross amounts of contaminants can be expected. KAMTough is 23% harder than standard UHMW. We incorporate Teflon suspended in our thermosetting resin matrix for strength and maximum durability. Offered with either a peel and stick adhesive or prepared surface (peel ply) for epoxy bonding. Standard sizes are 12"x12" or 12"x48" sheets, with thickness options of light (.020"), medium (.032"), heavy (.060:) or plate stock (.120")

Typical Applications
KAMTough Wear Strip is designed for applications where standard off the shelf wear resistant plastics fall short in performance. It can eliminated metal-to-metal wear and fretting damage on surfaces exposed to excessive rubbing or scuffing. Use the material where impact resistance is required, under edge loading, in heavy abrasion applications, and where gross amounts of contaminants can be expected.
Standard Sizes
Our standard processes accomadte the manufacture of KAMTough Wear Strip in flat sheets up to 12" x 48" and 12" x 12". The material is offered in standard grades and follows:
- Light Duty .020" thickness (+/- .005")
- Medium Duty .032" thickness (+/- .005")
- Heavy Duty .060" thickness (+/- .005")
- Plate Stock .120" thickness (+/- .005")

- Operating Temperature: -54°C-120°C (65°F-250°F)
- Hardness: 80 Shore D
- Maximum Static Bearing Load: 45,000 psi (310 MPa)
- Compressive Modulus: 135,000 psi (931 MPa)
- Maximum Dynamic Bearing Load: 18,000 psi (124 MPa)
