FERAX is a family company that was created by Claude-André Bétrix in Peseux (canton of Neuchâtel). The first building, erected in Cortaillod in 1962, was expanded in 1967.
The firm's present-day building, a far larger construction built in 1980, was designed along very futurist lines by the architect Marie-Claude Bétrix-Consolascio of Erlenbach (canton of Zurich), the oldest daughter of the firm's founder.
Today, the company boasts a staff of 38 at Cortaillod, and a subsidiary in Germany (Emmendingen) as well.
