Jells Park Primary School RACV Energy Breakthrough 2010 The RACV Breakthrough is an exciting program designed to provide opportunities for students, teachers, parents and local industry to work together to design and construct a pushcart that will represent an energy breakthrough. The program encourages participants to examine and use the latest technology while considering its impact on the environment and the way people live locally and globally. School groups work throughout the year to design, build and test their vehicle within detailed specifications. It requires a team effort and an across-the-curriculum approach. These groups then take their vehicles to Maryborough in November, where they will be camping and competing against other schools. This year, Jells Park will be submitting one Human Powered Vehicle team and two Pushcart teams, each with 8 students.  It is required that there are four boys and four girls within the team.  These students need to be dedicated and willing to attend fitness training and assist with construction of the vehicle during lunch times and out of school hours. For the program to succeed, it is vital that we receive Sponsorship and support from our local community and we are greatly appreciated of CGB Precision Products for their sponsorship of our teams. REDEX-China host Technical Training

CGB are proud and honored for the oppurtunity to improve their product knowledge in the area of Merobel brakes and clutches. The event was expertly hosted in Shanghai by REDEX-China. 

CGB sent National Business Developement Manager Michael Lingard to attend this event where Merobel Application Engineer Denis Kerheave (Redex-France) imparted his vast knowledge to a team of Redex-Merobel representatives from the Asia-Pacific region.

Of special note was a new product line soon to be released the-

X-Block-Multi Stand Controller, which offers

• regulation and
• power supply. 

CGB will be presenting more information on this exciting developement as time draws closer to its release.

CGB at Pacprint09

CGB displayed their range of tension control products including Merobel electro magnetic powder brakes and clutches, FMS web guides and load cells, Magnetic Technologies clutches, couplings and Fastlock products. We were assisted on our stand by Brian Cross from Andantex (Merobel) in the U.K. - thank you very much for your expertise.  The visitors to our stand were very responsive to the products we had to offer and we identified a number of customers with tension control problems.
